THE ITINERARY

STAGE 1

19 | 06 · 8:00am · LEÓN-CISTIERNA

 Light Stage

The race and the first stage will start from the León Cathedral, one of the largest Gothic works in the world. This route is dominated by single tracks and river crossings until reaching the village of Cistierna, located in the vicinity of the Picos de Europa National Park.

STAGE 2

20 | 06 · 8:00am · CISTIERNA - RIAÑO

Queen stage

We will start the route from Cistierna and heading for Riaño. We will be passing through an old mining region full of hidden villages, immense valleys and beech forests. Before arriving to Riaño, we will stop at the town of Maraña, one of the most charming villages in the area.

STAGE 3

21 | 06 · 8:00am · RIAÑO - RIAÑO

Short but Challenging Stage

This is a short circular stage but a bit challenging where we will skirt the Riaño Reservoir. Along the route we will see the Espigüete hill and we will cross an enchanted forest which is part of the mythological route of León and where the Diañe will wait for us, a mythological being not very evil but intimidating. The point is to continue enjoying while we recover from the previous stage and arrive fresh to Riaño where we will enjoy a full day of rest and adventure.

ADVENTURE – RELAX

22 | 06 · Día de descanso.

A day to enjoy the environment in the full of springtime and rest for the final stretch of the race. Endless ways of relaxation await you and the possibility to practice all kinds of water sports (get on a tourist vessel, take a speedboat or a Jet Ski, or just dive in the pool) in the middle of the Riaño Reservoir. An amazing place to spend the day!

STAGE 4

23 | 06 · 8:00am · RIAÑO - ESTACIÓN DE S. ISIDRO

Challenging Stage

We will leave Riaño behind and head for Puebla de Lillo, crossing the Regional Park Montaña de Riaño and the massif of Mampodre, a landscape framed in the Picos de Europa National Park. There will be incredible views along the way and mountain passes of 1800 m. We will pass through Puebla de Lillo, a wonderful town, on the way to the end of the stage at San-Isidro Ski Resort where we will overnight.

STAGE 5

24 | 06 · 8:00am · SAN ISIDRO - CISTIERNA

Medium difficulty Stage

In this stage we will departure from the highest point of San-Isidro Ski Resort while enjoying the amazing views. It is time to descend, and we will pass again through Puebla de Lillo heading for Boñar and crossing the Porma Reservoir while we come across abandoned villages. Towards the end of the stage, we will stop for a visit at the Wildlife Museum before arriving at the destination.

STAGE 6

25 | 06 · 8:00am · CISTIERNA - LEÓN

Light Stage

The last stretch of the adventure consists of a route to enjoy with the five senses. We are close to the end of the Infinite Valleys challenge and that makes it even more exciting. A great tribute for all the finishers.
