1.-ORGANIZATION.

Infinite Valleys is a mountain cycling event that will take place for seven whole days  that are distributed on 6 stages with a rest/adventure that is organized by the EL CLUB SPORTEVENT LEÓN C.I.F: G24694457 MOBILE PHONE: 634 50 62 42

It will take place during the days 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24 of JUNE 2022 according to what has been stipulated with the present Particular Regulations.

 

2.- TYPE OF EVENT.

It is a competitive event with mountain bikes in a format of 7 days, split into 3 stages, one rest day, and 3 stages more. It will be adapted for all the different categories and modalities according to the normative written on this regulation.

The GPS will be used in all six of the stages, following the track that you will be given by the organization of the event.

The event will be run individually or by pairs.

We address that this is a NON-federated event, making sure of the organization to ALL the participants and volunteers.

The event will be regulated but it WILL NOT BE closed to traffic, so you will have to be respectful with the traffic rules that are established.

The organization will not be responsible for the possible fines that could be applied to the participants for not respecting those rules.

3.- STAGES.

DÍA 1: LEÓN – CISTIERNA | 85 Km | +1590 M

DÍA 2: CISTIERNA – RIAÑO | 110 Km | +3063M

DÍA 3: RIAÑO – RIAÑO | 50 Km | +1340M

DÍA 4: DÍA DE DESCANSO/AVENTURA EN RIAÑO

DÍA 5: RIAÑO – PUEBLA DE LILLO | 67 Km | +1600M

DÍA 6: PUEBLA DE LILLO – CISTIERNA | 87 Km | +1420M

DÍA 7: CISTIERNA – LEÓN | 62 Km |+ 692M

4.- MODALITIES

  • Individual modality, for the individual participants that will take part in all 6 stages.
  • E-bike modality, for all the individual participants that will take part in all the 6 stages with an E-bike (Electrical bicycle).

It will be necessary to have two batteries for each stage or a 1.100-watt per hour to be able to finish the most demanding stages.

This category WILL NOT BE competitive

  • Modality by pairs, for teams made by two members that will take part in all 6 stages.

 

5.- PARTICIPATION

 This event is open for Spanish and international athletes.

All the inscriptions are individual or by pairs, up to 400 participants.

The minimum age for participating will be 18 years.

The event is open for people who are older than 18 years old, having turned 18 before the date of the event, that could be federated or NOT.

The participants of INFINITE VALLEYS will have to be in the start line of the first stage the day before the start of the race to confirm their identity and to proceed with all the previous verifications before the start of the race. The hour and the hour will be provided by the organization. The organization can freely change or extend this date.

All the participants will have to be able to go to a minimum velocity of 10 km/h during all the stages.

 

6.- CATEGORIES.

 INDIVIDUAL MALE CATEGORIES.

– Sub 30, up to 29 years and older than 18 the day that the event starts

– Master 40, older than 30 years and up to 39 years the day that the event starts

– Master 50, older than 40 years and up to 49 years the day that the event starts

– Master 60, older than 50 years the day that the event starts

– Master 60, older than 60 years the day that the event starts ( It will have to be at least 8 participants in this category)

– E-Bike, in which you will have to use an electric bike in all the 6 stages. It will NOT BE competitive

  • INDIVIDUAL FEMALE CATEGORIES

– Absolute: All the participants independently from their age. The organization could upgrade to categories by age if there are more than 8 participants of each category.

  • 3 CATEGORIES BY PAIRS (2 participants)

– Male pairs: made by 2 male participants

– Female pairs: made by 2 female participants

– Mixed pairs: made by 1 male participant and one female participant

If by any chance one of the members is unable to finish one of the stages, the pair won’t be able to classify but they could continue to participate the rest of the days.

Both members will have to go past the finish line and also past the checkpoints established by the organization, with only a margin of 2 minutes between each of the members of the pair.

The teams could be:

  • Mixed pair: The total of both ages cannot surpass 75 years.
  • Female pair: The total of both ages cannot surpass 75 years.
  • Male pair: The total of both ages cannot surpass 75 years.
  • SILVER Mixed, Female, Male pair: The total of both ages surpasses 75 years but it is lower than 100 years.
  • GOLD Mixed, Female, Male pair: The total of both ages surpasses 100 years.

EXTRA: There will have to be at least 5 pairs per group of age. If not, they will be automatically changed to the previous group of age.

 

7.- ENTRIES

The entries will be able to be submitted online by the web page www.infinitevalleys.com paying by credit card with TVP

Everyone older than 18 years can submit their entry, even without being federated.

All of the participants will have insurance that will be provided by the organization with a policy of accident insurance just as the current legislation says.

The entry is personal and it will only be transferable if you communicate it to the organization via E-mail before the 15th of April of 2022 with the condition of accepting every measure that has been discussed earlier on this document.

 

8.-TYPE AND PRICE OF THE ENTRY

All participants will be able to enter by choosing one of the following packs.

  • Route on a jet-ski, boat, or ferry to be able to see the submerged villages of the Riaño reservoir.

  • Mechanic assistance at the beginning and the end of each stage and also during the route on a specific point.
  • Medical assistance on route
  • Commemorative maillot Infinite Valleys.
  • Finisher medal for everyone that finishes the whole 6 stages on its totality
  • A bag where you will have to put ALL of your personal belongings and luggage.
  • The transfer of that bag to all the locations where the person will stay.
  • The transfer of the participant to the hotels.
  • Bike replacement (limited bikes)

The deadline of the entry will finish when all the entries expected are fulfilled or if this doesn’t happen, the deadline will be on Monday 1st May 2022 at midnight, leaving the organization free to extend this deadline.

9.-POLICY OF CANCELATION

An entry is considered completed when the correspondent amount has been applied. When you are fulfilling the entry, you will have to authorize the organization to use your credit card number to pay for the entry, and in that way, you are expressing that you know our policy for payment.

In case of canceling the entry, either because of an injury or because of personal matters:

  • The entirety of the entry will be returned to the person who has let known the organization before the 1st of February 2022
  • 75% of the entry will be returned to the person who has let known the organization before the 1st of May 2022
  • 50% of the entry will be returned to the person who has let known the organization before the 1st of April 2022
  • The return of the inscriptions won’t continue after the 1st of April 2022.

If by any reasons this event couldn’t be taken place (Pandemics, Terrorist Attacks, Natural Disasters, Politics, Sanitary reasons…) it will proceed as followed:

1st refund of 75% of the total on the 1st June 2022

2nd 100% refund on November 2022

3rd keep the entry for 2023

You can only choose one of those options

  • If the climate or other reasons prevent the event from going forward, the organization can cut down or change the route completely or partially and it won’t lead to the refund of the price of the inscription.
  • In case of disqualification or pull out, the price of the inscription won’t be refunded

 

10.- DELIVERY OF NUMBERS

The delivery of numbers will be made in an office. The place, the date and the schedule will be communicated to ALL participants 15 days prior to the start of the event.

All the participants of INFINITE VALLEYS will have to be on the starting line for the first stage (León) the day before the start to confirm your inscription and to proceed with all the verifications prior to the start of the event.

The hour and place will be communicated by the organization. The organization will be able to change or extend this schedule.

If by any chance there would be any last minute change on the schedule or the place of the delivery of numbers, everyone will be informed via email.

It will be mandatory to show your identification card in order to verify your age group, or a written authorization with a copy of the ID card.

It will be mandatory to follow all the COVID-19 protocols that the health administrations have put in place for the sake of all the participants, volunteers and members of the organization.

 

11.- INFORMATION DURING THE RACE

The organization representative can report to the participants aspects that could happen during the race, with the purpose of avoiding incidents.

 

12.- MINIMUM EQUIPMENT DURING THE RACE

 Each participant will follow the equipment and clothing conditions for the practise of mountain bike.

Each participant will be auto sufficient inside the circuit and will have to wear the mandatory clothing during the race.

The participants’ guide will contain the collection of the luggage that all participants will take from stage to stage and this luggage will be trasported by the organization.

Each participant is responsible for their own preparation and physical condition.

Compulsory minimum equipment:

  • A BBT bike on good state
  • A hydration backpack
  • A basic kit with tools and at least one inner tube
  • For security matters, a mobile phone and a power bank for both GPS and mobile phone
  • Thermic blanket, whistle and back light for the tunnels
  • It is compulsory the use of a helmet during the race
  • Everyone should have their number attached to their bike and it will have to be visible during the time the participant is on track.
  • A GPS with the tracks for the six stages. The organization could ask the first 20 participants to show them what itinerary they have taken to analyse if its correct or not
  • The organization is not responsible for any lost or forgotten object along the race
  • The organization is not responsible for any failure, repair or robbery of a bike.

 

13.- SIGNPOSTING AND NATURE CARE

Signposting

Each stage will have indications as crossing roads, crossing villages, dangerous zones, a non-visible change of course, being necessary the use of a GPS. The organization will put volunteers in numerous points all along the track to help the participants, so we ask for special attention and caution in the moment of crossing the road, as the traffic is not going to be stopped.

There will be volunteers all along the track.

Enviroment

The participants will undertake to respect the rules of the competition, as well as to know the route.

The organizer reserves the right to modify the itinerary and neutralize all or part of the event if circumstances so require.

If necessary and under serious circumstances, the organization reserves the right, without prior notice and in order to guarantee the correct development and safety of the event, to delay the start time, modify the schedule, and / or modify or cancel a stage as well as modify the previously established route.

In case of cancellation of the test due to force majeure, it will be postponed to another date, as far as possible.

Participants are asked to take maximum consideration of the environment, when disposing of waste such as glasses, drums or containers of gels and bars.

The organization may decide that a section of the route is impractical and impossible to flank, being able to divert the route through other sections provided by the organization.

 

14º. ASSISTANCE SERVICES.

The test will have all the medical services required by current regulations (medical assistance service, ambulances to attend to participants in the event of an accident).

There will be telephone numbers on the numbers to request help in the event of an accident.

 

15º.- BRIEFING MEETING.

In the Briefing meetings, the stages and those aspects of the route will be reviewed for the information of the participants.

Every day before dinner, the meetings will be held in the places that we will indicate in the participant’s guide.

 

16.- TEST CONTROL.

The control of the test will be carried out by the members of the Technical Jury designated by the organization. The organization will be able to establish a maximum time for the passage of the participants for each control of passage. This cutoff time will be as loose and flexible as possible. Participants who arrive outside the maximum time of passage established by the organization must follow the instructions of the closing device of the test. The organization can force participants to get on the broom vehicle made available by the organization to go to the arrival point of said stage, being able to leave in the next stage, but without opting to be an INFINITE VALLEYS finisher.

Participants who leave the stage must notify the organization as soon as possible. Failure to do so will activate a search and rescue device whose costs will be borne by the participant.

 

17.- DISQUALIFICATIONS.

Participants who:

– Do not use the helmet.

– The bib number is not visible.

– Participate with a number awarded to another runner.

18.- AUTHORIZED VEHICLES.

 The vehicles authorized by the organization that carry out the follow-up of the tests will carry a visible identification at all times.

 

19.- TIMING

The timekeeping control will be carried out by an external specialized company.

It will be through a chip system.

The stages will NOT be timed in their entirety, only a part of each day’s stage will be timed, being that stage the one that will be used for classification.

The timed parts will be indicated at the beginning and at the end by the organization, and will be visible in the altimetry profiles that the organization will provide you.

 

20.- ZONES OF ASSISTANCE, REFRESHMENTS AND RACE WORKSHOP

This point may be modified depending on the health recommendations that the Junta de Castilla y León or other public administrations mark us, in order to carry out the test under optimal safety conditions for all.

The aid stations and technical assistance areas are duly signposted during the route and at the end of each stage. They will have everything necessary to cover the needs of nutrition and hydration of the participants during the test.

There will be a workshop point provided by the organization at the start-finish of all stages and at an intermediate point of the 2nd stage that will coincide with a refreshment station.

Stages refreshments:

1st stage: 2 liquid and solid refreshment stations plus finish line provisioning.

2nd stage: 3 liquid and solid refreshment stations distributed along the route + 1 at the finish line

3rd stage: 1 liquid and solid refreshment stations distributed along the route + 1 at the finish line.

4th stage: 2 liquid and solid refreshment stations distributed along the route plus 1 at the finish line.

5th stage: 3 liquid and solid refreshment stations distributed along the route plus 1 at the finish line.

6th stage: 2 liquid and solid refreshment stations distributed along the route plus one at the finish line.

At the end of the tests, any participant who wishes may use the showers and changing rooms of the Pavilions that will be enabled for this purpose. (It will depend if the sanitary regulations of the moment allow it)

They will be able to wash the bicycles in the areas that will be enabled for it.

The roads through which the competition takes place are assigned solely and exclusively for the days of the competition, providing the GPS tracks of the route 1 week before the start of the test, it will be reported on our website and social networks.

 

21.- CLOSURE OF CONTROL AND RACE SITUATION.

In the 1st stage, all runners must cross the finish line 8 hours after starting.

In the 2nd stage, any runner who arrives at Buron with a time of more than 7 hours, will be diverted by the road or will be taken to Riaño in the vehicles.

In the 3rd stage there will be no cut-off time.

In the 4th stage. The cut-off time will be 8 hours.

In the 5th stage. The cut-off time will be 8 hours.

In the 6th stage. There will be no cut-off time.

The organization reserves the right to modify these times for any reason it deems appropriate.

 

22.- CLASSIFICATIONS. 

In each of the stages, the classification will be established by virtue of the order of arrival at the end line of the special stage, through the time set by the timing system. As soon as each stage is finished, the organization will communicate to ALL participants the classifications of the day’s stage, as well as the provisional classification of Infinite Valleys.

 

23.- TROPHIES AND PROTOCOL.

At the end of the tests, the runners entitled to the following prizes must appear on the podium, within a maximum period of 30 minutes from their entry into the finish line:

  • Stages of individual male participation.

Trophy for 1st, 2nd, 3rd of all categories (sub 30, master 30, master 40, master 50 and master 60).

  • Stages of individual female participation.

Trophy for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th of the absolute category

  • Stages of participation in pairs.

Trophy for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of each type of couple (mixed, female and male)

Trophy for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of each type of Silver couple (mixed, female and male)

Trophy for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of each type of Gold couple (mixed, female and male)

Note: there must be at least 5 couples of each age group. If there is not the minimum number of 5 in an age group, these pairs will move to the immediately previous age group.

24.-CLAIMS.

Claims must be made, in writing, at the race office within 20 minutes after the end of the race, not accepting any subsequent claim.

 

25.- IMAGE AND ADVERTISING.

The organization of the test and the sponsors that collaborate in the organization of this sporting event reserve the right to freely use in all its forms, the images of the participation of the runners in the test, and to publish the results obtained by them. The event can be videotaped and/or photographed by the journalists and event organizers for later use in advertising the event.

 

26-. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE RUNNERS.

Each runner must be responsible for his participation in the race. He or she will judge for themselves, whether or not they should or can continue in the race, except if those responsible for the organization decide to exclude them from it for safety reasons related to health.

Each runner accepts and assumes, by the mere fact of registering, that he is physically fit to perform this test and where he renounces all types of legal action against the organization for any circumstance or reason.

The organization recommends doing stress tests every 2 years to participate in these types of tests.

The organization recommends that participants do adequate training for this test, as it requires high physical effort.

 

27.- APPLICATION OF SANCTIONS.

The organization reserves the right to apply sanctions, which can lead to disqualification or expulsion from the race, to any runner who does not respect the letter or spirit of these regulations, or who damages the good name, image and prestige of the race. test or any of its sponsors.

No responsibility can be imputed to the organizers for possible prejudices that a decision of this type may cause.

 

28.- PRIVACY POLICY.

In compliance with the provisions of the Article of Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, Protection of Personal Data, we inform you that the data of the runners will be incorporated into a file whose owner and manager is CLUB DEPORTIVO SPORTEVENT LEÓN CIF: G24694457 in order to participate in these events, as well as keep you informed of the activities and events of the organizer. Likewise, we inform you of the possibility of exercising the rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition, by writing to the following email address: to the attention of the person in charge of LOPD info@sport-event.es

 

29.- PUBLICATION OF THE REGULATION TO KNOW THE PARTICIPANTS.

These Regulations will be published on the official website of the race and on the payment gateway.

Enrollment in the test implies knowledge and acceptance of these regulations.
